This Biometric Fingerprint Pistol Safe For Home has a biometric lock. The biometric lock scanner equipped with 500DPI semiconductor biometric fingerprint. Allows you to instantly access the safe to get your firearm by scanning the instrument while keeping children out of the firearm.
In addition to the biometric lock, the safe has two other quick access methods: key lock and 4-digit keypad. The digital keypad can set a 4 to 6 digit combination password. Keypad backlighting makes it easier to find keys in the dark when setting or entering passwords via the digital keypad. The digit keypad supports setting the silent mode, which is convenient for users to obtain guns silently in particular situations.
4 NEW AA Alkaline Batteries
(not included in the box)
The safe takes 2 seconds or less to open if your finger is positioned properly on the fingerprint verification window.
Yes, each box comes with a set of manual keys. The keyhole is located below the digit keypad. You can change the battery at any time without losing the programmed fingerprint. Users are advised to operate the safe at least every six months when the safe is idle and replace the battery at least once a year, regardless of usage.
Minor cuts or abrasions will not affect the recognition of your fingerprint. The safe can store up to 20 fingerprint scans. It is suggested that the owner program more than one finger in case of a severe wound to the finger.
RP19001F is made with 16 gauge steel. The box is 3mm thick throughout and is 11.86lbs which makes it difficult to damage. Even if the safe suffered a high impact in an attempt to be opened, it would only make it more difficult to retrieve anything inside, assuming the valuable survived the impact.
No, the small pistol lock box is not made to be fireproof.

I needed to put a pistol safe in my vehicle. Some confusion I’ll call “my fault” and accidentally ordered 2 safes. Very telling I am keeping the second safe for use inside my home. Set up of codes was super easy… follow the instructions which are short and simple. It took maybe 5 minutes to set a combo code, validate my wallet card, and validate the key fob. So 4 ways to gain access: key (nice “real” key), combination lock, rfi card, and key fob. Key fob is about the size of a quarter… bit thicker. Some noise when opening… num pad beeps and some clank if you let the lid just fly up. Mounting holes in the bottom of the case. I ran a cable lock through the holes and secured to a tie down ring on the back bed of my suv. Sure it could be cut but nobody is going just grab it an run. As it sits you can’t tell how it is tied down. I am buying some “toolbox” adhesive padding as the sides and lid are without padding. Don’t want my pistols banging around if I hit a bump in the road. Lots of room for a full size 1911… probably fit two and some ammo. Nice place to put my extra meds and cash in the vehicle. Now to find where I want to mount the in house box… probably screw it right to the floor beside my bed. Always hated leaving an unlocked gun when I’m out of the house. Yes I have more than one gun. Note it does need 4 AA batteries which I happened to have on hand.Well here I am editing 3 months later. Very happy with these. Buying a third box for my car. A 629 Classic with a 6.5 barrel is a tight fit but there is room for that and a 6″ 357.
Nice and heavy – smooth open/ close operation. The safe fingerprint function is only handy if you keep up with the batteries! The rechargeable batteries I first installed died and I was forced to use the key to open/ change batteries – so keep those keys handy! If you set a calendar alarm to refresh batteries on a regular schedule, this should be a solid safe for you. Helpful tip: code your fingerprint from the angle you will likely be reaching from in an emergency, it’s def not Apple dynamic. I keep in my nightstand and found that I had to reset my fingerprints as it did not recognize from a downward side angle since I originally setup while facing safe head on. Also, safe door swings fast – be prepared. I recommend.
Great buy. I built a box with carpet and bolted it down to the body of my truck. Looks like it’s apart of the interior.
Following the directions it was easy to set-up and program the digital code and fingerprint reader. However I’d say the finger print reader is only reliable the first try about 75% of the time, about 99% reliable within the first three tries. If it didn’t open within 3 tries I’d just poke in the 6 digit code I programmed and it’s been 100% reliable with it. The key works flawlessly. I’ve read that the batteries don’t last long, but I haven’t had an issue with mine yet as I’ve only had it a couple days. If the batteries drain quickly I’ll be back to edit this review, so if you don’t see an edit you’ll know all is well. As far as the material, it’s made with… it’s fantastic. Sturdy, clean well fitted dense foam egg crate inside and nice looking. The battery compartment on the inside seems to be made well too, and there’s a nice rubber pad that covers and hides the key hole on the outside. I’ve opened it about 50 times with no issues as of writing this review. 5/30/20EDITED 6/25/20Still working great! No battery problems so far and I’ve been opening it at least twice a day everyday…sometimes more often than that. I would still give it FIVE stars.
UPDATE 2021: The keypad is impossible to find and accurately engage in the dark so I tried 2 different methods of illumination. The first was painted on fluorescence (top line and around numbers and fingerprint area) which required MULTIPLE coats but works. The second, very time efficient, was commercial fluorescent green tape (bottom of the 2 lines. I would recommend to the manufacturer’s that customers may need their weapons in a hurry at night and some kind of keypad illumination would be a benefit.I am quite happy with this and it sits at my bedside with a large 9mm weapon, a flashlight and a spare mag with room to spare. The fingerprint sensor is a bit finicky and requires a CAREFUL placement of one of your assigned fingerprints to open. This is partially solved by putting several sets (3 prints per set) of each finger you choose. Getting it set up was VERY tricky as my unit required EXACT timing to accept a print or it would dump every attempt in that series. The MOMENT it would accept a print was between 9.5 and 10 seconds – so I used a timer on my phone and succeeded. There are other ways to open the safe: number pad and key so you will never be locked out.
Love this safe.. so many ways to open. Put the card in my phone case so I can open with my phone.
Wasnt hard to set up at all, comes with clear instructions and hardware if you want to mount it onto something. I have my handgun and box of bullets and a few other things in it,
This is an amazing strong gun box. Open three ways. Key, multiple finger scans or code. I programmed several of my right and left handprints for a quick opening. All work, but others don’t. I bolted it down using the holes in the bottom. If feels really secure and I feel confident that my wife and I can open it easily in case of an emergency.
Absolutely a great gun safe.
I like that I sleep better knowing no one can access it but me. I don’t have any dislikes
Just arrived today, initially impression is that its a great value. Easy setup, very sturdy, good storage space. It easily holds two full size handguns. It even closes with pistols stacked on each other. The electronics seem to be good quality too. I’ll update if anything changes.
Good quality safe, but setting up the RFID key’s isn’t easy. You would need to secure this safe to a cupboard or something as it’s easy to pick up. My only niggle with this is the loud button beeps. I guess this is a good and bad thing? Good, in that if a child is messing with the safe, you can hear the beeps. However, if you we’re responding to a home invasion and trying to get your weapon without being heard, this thing is loud. Either way, fits a Glock, three mags and some documents well.
Perfect size for my night stand. Was super easy to set up both the pin number and finger print. It’s nice you can program multiple fingerprints to access the safe. I was able to easily secure a glock 40 and 43 together in the safe. Very happy with this purchase so far.
